I have been a Classical Musician for the entirety of my adult life. During the

pandemic I was unable to work for 18 months. This enforced sabbatical gave

me much time to think, and to reconnect to the simpler things in life. I realised

that I had a longing to do something tangible and meaningful that would help others. ​

 

Towards the end of lockdown an old friend of mine, who is a Reiki Master, introduced me to Reiki. I immediately felt the benefits, both mentally and physically, and became fascinated by the practice. Since then I have worked hard to further explore the world of Reiki, to learn and develop, and finally to become a ‘verified’ Practitioner and accredited to the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. While music will always play a huge role in my life, Reiki has come to play a central role as well. As time has passed I’ve realised there are many similarities between the two disciplines - both are somatic; both allow one to connect with oneself in a unique way; both are ways of expressing oneself; both allow a depth of experience that is transcendent; both are ways to help people. I hope that if you are reading this I may be able to help you - through Reiki - on your journey.
